If you have heard about ePINs but were not sure what they are or how to use them, this beginner's guide is for you. By the end, you will understand exactly what network ePINs are, how they work, and how to buy and use them on TopupNaija.ng.

What is a network ePIN?

An ePIN, or electronic PIN, is a digital recharge code generated by a telco. It carries airtime value, just like a traditional scratch card, but it is delivered as a number rather than a physical card.

Which networks offer ePINs in Nigeria?

The four major networks all offer ePINs: MTN, Airtel, Glo and 9mobile. On TopupNaija, you can buy ePINs from all four in one place.

How are ePINs used?

To load an ePIN, the recipient dials the standard recharge code for that network (usually 555PIN# for MTN, 126PIN# for Airtel, 123PIN# for Glo, 200PIN# for 9mobile, but always check current codes). The airtime is credited instantly.

Who buys ePINs?

  1. Vendors. Small businesses that resell PINs at a margin.
  2. Companies. That give airtime to staff or distribute as gifts.
  3. Schools. Some schools resell PINs to students.
  4. Churches and NGOs. That need to send airtime to many people.
  5. Individuals. Who want to stock up airtime for personal use.
